Vampire military school. What an idea! Why not? He could easily do it. He'd been a general after all. He'd commanded an entire military platoon consisting of thirty men. Why shouldn't he be able deal with two wayward girls? The more he thought about it..... the more he liked it. He might not be able to sleep and wake them up before dawn, but they could certainly become tired and worn out. Sure it took a lot longer than it would a human.....but it could be done. They couldn't die of exhaustion either so he could push Alexandra and Johanna as far as he wanted.
Packs that even a vampire would struggle with.....a long march.....a difficult climb. No technology. No books. No entertainment. The slightest insubordination.......the smallest little tiff between the girls.....and things would get worse. He'd push them to their limit and break their rebellious phase. It wasn't something he would enjoy doing and they'd probably wind up hating him for the whole weekend. He didn't care. Let them hate him. It would all work out in the end. They had a week off from school and if the girls didn't get with the program then he had no problem with extending it for the entire week.
He hadn't even told the girls his plans. He'd told Esme, Alice and Carlisle but that was it. Edward knew already of course, no hiding anything from him. On the friday before school, Jasper took Alex and Johanna aside and told them to get into the car and not to argue. In the back were two bags and lots and lots of supplies. He didn't answer their questions, didn't say anything to them. He just drove in silence. All the way to the Canadian border where he showed all three of their passports and went through.
He drove for quite a long time before they reached a little hiking trail. No other cars were here, but they might be soon. He got out. "Alright. Both of you get out. Now." he said firmly, the first thing he'd said to them since making them get into the car in the first place.
"We've all had it with your behavior. Both of you are totally out of control. The only thing left is tough love. And I'm delivering it." He pointed at the bags. "Those are your bags. You'll find nothing in them but weights. A whole ton of weights. And military style armor. Put the armor on. It's heavier than usual. Even a vampire will find it heavy. Then put the bags on your backs. Those too are extremely heavy." he wasn't kidding around, he had his serious face on.
"Here's how it's going to do down. You will call me 'Sir.' Everything will be answered with a 'sir yes sir' or a 'sir no sir'. ANY mistakes and the person who makes it will have weights added to their pack. There will be no talking back. No arguing. No complaining. No fighting. You will march until I say otherwise. You have five minutes to put your gear on. At a nice human pace. If you refuse to follow my orders, if you try to run, if you fight or complain or talk back then the punishment will be severe."
He looked seriously at the girls. "Do you understand?"
