His outfit wasn't exactly beach attire, but seeing as Xavier didn't plan on going swimming at all today, it was fine. Besides, the hybrid was interested in one thing and one thing only. Inspiration. He wanted to design a new lone of clothing, all inspired by the ocean without having a little mermaid or pirate feel to it and the only place he could think of was the beach. Seattle was a little too....crowded for the beach scene. He wanted to go somewhere else, so he found the little town of Forks. He'd only come for the sake of the karaoke night at the little diner and now he'd stuck around. Hearing about La Push beach was nice too so, why not go?
It was pretty empty, like a ghost town and he kind of liked it that way. Specially since he could sit and draw out his designs and no one would bother him. He carried with him a beach blanket to sit on so he didn't get his outfit sandy and a tote bag with his drawing supplies. He staked out a good spot and spread out his blanket, and sat upon it, weighing down the corners with stones so the wind didn't fling it around. As he sat watching the water and listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore and against the rocks, he spread his legs out and didn't start drawing right away, he just sat there with his hands supporting himself. The call of seagulls ahead, the distant sound of dolphins squeaking and clicking made him smile. He couldn't help it. He had to add to the natural beach sounds. Just in case, he made sure his cell phone was in his pocket. He could always pretend the music had been coming from the phone and not from nowhere, which was exactly where it would be coming from.
He used his power to produce music and after a while, he began to sing. It was a song that he'd created himself long ago and he sang it with feeling and heart. It was a song that bespoke the loneliness he felt deep inside, for in all his one hundred and sixty two years of being a hybrid, he had never found a lasting partner. He'd had one at one point, but due to a misunderstanding, Kyle had left him and never looked back. That had...hurt. And since then, Xavier had looked and tried, but no one really....meshed with him. No one really got him, so he sang.
Anyone listening would probably think he was an attractive girl singing and would probably come closer only to find it was a young man and not a girl at all. He'd had it happen so many times, he would've been a millionaire if he'd charged a dime for every time someone mistook him for a girl based on his voice.
